The American Opera Projects production of AS ONE on tour. In this chamber opera for two singers and string quartet by composer Laura Kaminsky, librettist Mark Campbell and librettist/filmmaker Kimberly Reed, a mezzo-soprano and a baritone depict the experiences of its sole transgender protagonist, Hannah, as she endeavors to resolve the discord between her self and the outside world. Tours of this beautiful and important work will include educational and community outreach. Collaboration: Pianist Olga Kern joins the Dalí Quartet for selected dates on tour. Celebrating the 2020 release of their new Delos label CD, the Dalí and the Van Cliburn Competition gold-medal winning pianist join forces on stage and in virtual programming featuring piano quintets and their mix “classical roots and Latin soul”. These musical friends offer a variety of programs, including the towering Shostakovich piano quintet, a good fit for these five  passionate musicians. Additional piano quintets offered are those of Brahms, Dvorak and Schumann. Inquire about date availability here.
