The American Opera Projects production of AS ONE on tour. In this chamber opera for two singers and string quartet by composer Laura Kaminsky, librettist Mark Campbell and librettist/filmmaker Kimberly Reed, a mezzo-soprano and a baritone depict the experiences of its sole transgender protagonist, Hannah, as she endeavors to resolve the discord between her self and the outside world. Tours of this beautiful and important work will include educational and community outreach. Collaboration: Pianist Olga Kern will join the Dalí Quartet for selected dates on tour. During the 2018-2019 season, the Van Cliburn Competition gold-medal winning pianist will join the Dalí Quartet, known for their mix of both “classical roots and Latin soul”. These musical friends will offer a variety of programs, including the towering Shostakovich piano quintet, a good fit for these five  passionate musicians. Additional piano quintets offered are those of Brahms, Dvorak and Schumann. Inquire about date availability here.

Collaboration: Decca recording artists Bandini-Chiachiaretta Duo will tour with the Dalí Quartet for Vivaldi and Piazzolla programming that includes The Eight Seasons, Angels and Demons, Tango Sensations, and more. Jonathan Wentworth Associates is pleased to welcome this new collaboration of the Dalí with Giampaolo Bandini, guitar and Cesare Chiacchiaretta, accordion & bandoneón (appearing courtesy of Aranjuez Artists). Additional repertoire includes works of Brouwer, D’Rivera, Gardel, Innarelli and Pujol in a program of Folias de Tango.

Collaboration: The Fischoff Competition Grand Prize winning Fry Street Quartet will tour a set of collaborative programs with Maksim Shtrykov and Misuzu Tanaka clarinet and piano. The acclaimed Shtrykov and Tanaka will join the quartet for special program offerings, including the Copland Sextet and the Prokofiev Overture on Hebrew Themes for clarinet, piano and string quartet.  Five clarinet quintets are offered, including those of Brahms, Mozart and Weber. A wide variety of piano quintets are offered, Brahms, Dvorak, Elgar and Schumann.

Collaboration: On the heels of their acclaimed Vivaldi CD, the Carducci Quartet and the Katona Twins guitar duo are touring a new program titled Venice – Buenos Aires featuring works of Vivaldi, Boccherini and Piazzolla.  “…the Carducci players displayed a deep and almost familial sense of unity in everything they played… full of life and vitality…extravagantly beautiful” says The Washington Post. About the Katona Twins: “The two have the razzle-dazzle coordination in complex duo passages that siblings seem to find easier than unconnected mortals” notes Allmusic.com.
